Those first couple of days with a new baby are such a blur. Between meeting this brand-new little person, recovering, visitors coming and going, and figuring out your new normal, there are so many tiny details that are easy to forget.

That’s exactly what I love about Fresh 48 sessions.

This sweet Fresh 48 newborn session took place at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – McKinney, shortly after baby made their arrival. We kept everything simple and relaxed, documenting all of those little hospital details along with the first snuggles and quiet moments together as a new family.

Fresh 48 sessions take place during the first day or two after your baby is born, right in your hospital room. There’s very little posing and no need to prepare your room or bring anything special. I’m there to document your baby exactly as they are — the tiny toes, hospital bracelets, bassinet, sleepy stretches and all of those first moments together.

These sessions are different from a traditional newborn session at home or in the studio. Fresh 48 photography is really about remembering what those first hours felt like before you packed everything up and brought your baby home.
