A Romantic Wedding at Bella Donna Chapel in Adriatica | McKinney Wedding Photographer
April 13, 2026

There’s something undeniably special about a wedding at Bella Donna Chapel in Adriatica. Tucked into one of McKinney’s most charming and unique settings, this venue feels intimate, timeless, and full of character from the moment you arrive.
I recently had the honor of photographing a beautiful wedding there, and it was one of those days that reminds me why I love what I do.
The bride spent the morning getting ready in the bell tower, and it truly set the tone for the entire day. The soft natural light pouring through the windows, the quiet anticipation in the room, and the peaceful charm of that tucked-away space made it such a meaningful place to begin her wedding story. It felt calm, personal, and beautifully removed from the rush that can sometimes come with a wedding day.

One of the things I love most about a Bella Donna Chapel McKinney wedding is how effortlessly romantic the entire property feels without trying too hard. The European-inspired architecture in Adriatica creates a setting that feels both elegant and warm, giving couples a backdrop that is visually stunning while still feeling inviting and intimate.
The chapel itself has such a beautiful atmosphere for ceremonies. It’s refined and classic, but never overwhelming. The natural light inside creates a soft glow that photographs beautifully and adds so much depth and warmth to each moment—especially during those emotional ceremony exchanges that deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt.
After the ceremony, we stepped outside into Adriatica for portraits, and it was the perfect extension of the day. The stone pathways, waterfront views, and old-world charm surrounding the chapel offer so many gorgeous portrait locations within walking distance. It gives couples variety in their gallery without ever needing to leave the venue, which makes the experience feel seamless and relaxed.

As the evening continued, the celebration moved to Rick’s Chophouse in historic downtown McKinney for a cozy and elegant reception dinner. Rick’s Chophouse is such a wonderful choice for intimate wedding receptions—it offers a warm, refined atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed evening of heartfelt toasts, incredible food, and time spent celebrating with close family and friends.
What made this wedding especially unforgettable was how present this couple was with each other throughout the day. Nothing felt rushed. Every part of the celebration—from the quiet anticipation in the bell tower to the candlelit dinner downtown—felt centered around genuine connection, which always makes for the most meaningful images.
That’s what I love most about days like this: when a wedding is not only beautiful, but deeply personal in all the right ways.
